Constitution Day or Citizenship Day

On September 17, 1787 the Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution. THIS was a historic day and that is why we celebate Constitution day every September 17.

What  Do We Do on This Day

In 2004, Senator Robert Byrd, proposed and passed an amendment to the Omnibus Spending Bill. The amendment requires all publicly funded schools to teach about the Constitution on September 17. The purpose of this day is to learn about the Constitution and our early American Forefathers.
