The Only Crime Defined in the Constitution

There is actually more than one crime in the constitution. The crime that is defined well is that of treason. However, counterfeiting, piracies, and felonies, are also briefly mentioned as punishable.  

The most treacherous crime is treason.  In article three section three it talks about it.    Treason is spelled out in some detail.

Article 3 section 3 -- Treason

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

The other crime, in article one, section 8, clause 6, is that it is a crime to counterfeit money. 

Article 1, section 8, clause 6 -- Counterfeiting

To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;

Prohibition was also against the law according to the eighteenth amendment.  Prohibition was later repealed in the twenty first amendment.  

Article 1, Secion 8 -- Piracies and Felonies

To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations;
