When Was the Constitution Written?

On May 25, 1787 the Constitution Convention was assembled and the process of creating the Constitution began. 

The Constitution became binding upon ratification by New Hampshire on June 21, 1788.  It wasn’t until February 2, 1790, when the Supreme Court held its first session, that the government, under the Constitution, was considered fully operative.
